Mundial do Queijo do Brasil 2024
At the Brazilian World Cheese event held in Saõ Paulo from 11 to 14 April 2024, Le Gruyère AOP distinguished itself by taking second and third place in the competition with Le Gruyère AOP Réserve de Rossens and Le Gruyère d'Alpage AOP de la Vathia.
Latin America's most important cheese event, now in its third year, included a public fair, three competitions and several conferences for cheese professionals and buyers.
16 Gruyère AOP Réserve, 4 Gruyère AOP Classic, and 4 Gruyère d'Alpage AOP cheeses were entered in the product competition, which saw over 2,000 cheeses—30% of them from abroad—presented to the 180 jurors.
Of the 24 Gruyère AOPs competing, twelve were awarded Super Gold medals, 10 received Gold and two Silver.
