The Tour de Ski, the key event of the international cross-country skiing season, kicked off in Toblach, Italy at the end of December 2023. In idyllic winter conditions, it then moved on to Davos in Switzerland and culminated in Val Di Fiemme for the final races.

After 9 days of the Tour and 7 competitions, the overall victory was decided, as every year, on the last competition – the fearsome ascent of L'Alpe Cermis in Val Di Fiemme.

In the end the Tour de Ski 2024 was won by two very talented and well-rounded athletes, American skier Jessie Diggins and Norwegian Harald Oestberg Amundsen.

There were some good performances from the Swiss skiers, including Cyril Fähndrich's excellent third place in the individual classic style race in Val Di Fiemme and Beda Klee's surprising 5th place in the overall ranking.

With several innovations this year, including a new route and new race formats, the Tour de Ski 2024 had plenty of surprises in store and drew the crowds to the slopes and to the screens.

Le Gruyere AOP was at the heart of this event, with an excellent brand presence along the routes skied by the competitors as well as a stand at the various competition sites, where the public and athletes had the chance to taste the different types of Gruyere AOP cheese as well as the delicious hot fondues. In total, almost 150 kg of fondue mix and 350 kg of Gruyere AOP were tasted during the 2024 Tour de Ski.

Le Gruyere AOP congratulates Cyril Fähndrich, Beda Klee and all the skiers taking part in this year's Tour de Ski.
