Chalet-style Macaroni

  • 10.5 oz (300g) macaroni
  • 2 onions
  • 1 3/4 cups (400ml) 35% heavy whipping cream
  • 7 oz (200ml) milk
  • 7 oz (200g) Gruyère AOP, grated
  • salt and pepper


Cook the macaroni in boiling water for 10 minutes.

Lightly fry the macaroni in a small amount of oil and butter until golden brown. 

Dice the onion and fry, again in oil and butter, in a separate pan.

Mix everything together until well combined.

Season to taste and serve.
