Beef Burgers with Gruyère AOP

  • 2.25 lbs (1 kg) minced beef / lean ground beef
  • 3.5 oz (100g) sandwich bread
  • 2 tsp (10ml) red wine
  • 7 oz (200g) Gruyère AOP, cubed (plus a few more ounces for shredding on top if you like)
  • 3 tsp (15g) salt
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) ground black pepper
  • Paprika and garlic powder (to taste)



Soak the bread in the red wine.

Season the beef with the spices and add to the soaked bread and cubed Gruyère AOP.

Shape the mixture into individual patties (about 1/4 lb or 100g each).
Cook them on a grill or in a frying pan.

Top with some shredded Gruyère AOP if you like and garnish however you prefer.
