Beef Burgers with Gruyère AOP

Ingredients

  • 2.25 lbs (1 kg) minced beef / lean ground beef
  • 3.5 oz (100g) sandwich bread
  • 2 tsp (10ml) red wine
  • 7 oz (200g) Gruyère AOP, cubed
  • 3 tsp (15g) salt
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) ground black pepper
  • Paprika and garlic powder (to taste)

 

Preparation

Soak the bread in the red wine.

Season the beef with the spices and add to this the soaked bread and cubed Gruyère AOP.
Shape the mixture into individual patties (about 1/4 lb or 100g each).
Cook them on a grill or in a frying pan.

Garnish however you prefer.
